The World Disability Union (WDU) is honored to participate in the 19th session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP19) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)
During
this event, the WDU will introduce the Disability Services Index as a global
tool designed to evaluate and improve the services provided to persons with
disabilities. The index aligns with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities and is based on 19 criteria covering key areas such as
education, health, employment, social protection, and accessibility. Its
purpose is to facilitate the implementation and monitoring of disability-related
laws, encourage inclusion, and promote the adoption of best practices
worldwide.
The
WDU invites all stakeholders, policymakers, researchers, civil society
organizations, and advocates to attend this important session. The discussion
will provide valuable insights into how the index can strengthen global efforts
to ensure equal rights, opportunities, and quality of life for persons with
disabilities.
Your
presence and contribution will greatly enrich the dialogue and support the
global mission of advancing disability inclusion.
