The International Disabled Federation honors The K Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, First Vice President of the World Federation of the Handicapped, honored The K Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain as the first hotel in the Kingdom to achieve the gold standard in caring for and meeting the needs of people with disabilities. The honoring ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the World Federation of the Handicapped, the Chairman of the Evaluation Committee, Mr. Haider Rabie and members of the Evaluation Committee. This ceremony is constantly organized to imitate the gold, silver and bronze accreditations for the organizations facilitating people with disabilities and achieving their global environmental standards, to be announced as friendly destinations for people with disabilities.
Dr. Tariq bin Khadim extended his highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in appreciation and gratitude for His Highness’ great interest in providing a decent life for the disabled by providing a special headquarters for the Federation in the Emirate of Sharjah and providing legislation that guarantees their rights within the community. And directing His Highness to equip all service and recreational institutions in proportion to the health conditions of the disabled.
Bin Khadem indicated that the World Federation of the Handicapped is adding the data of these accreditation bodies through its website; As a reference guide for people with disabilities to identify the institutions and entities that are environmentally qualified for them, which they can visit and carry out their transactions through them with ease and comfort.
